KIDS R FUNNY
My kids make me laugh all the time. That's why I keep them. They amuse me. Two recent funny stories. Please do not read on if you are the prim and proper type - these stories are neither.
In my household, passing gas is an amusing event. Often some one will say, "Did you hear that spider bark?" or "Was that a frog?" to cover up that they cut the cheese. Well, my 2 year old daughter often mimics the sayings and doings of her older brothers, but I didn't realize how much she has been paying attention to even the gross things they do. The other day she was sitting at the table when she passed gas. She started giggling and then said in her little toddler voice, "Momma, did you hear that dog bark?"
My sons think wearing button down shirts and ties are cool now. I like this trend. The other day my 8 year old decided to wear a tie to school. As I was driving him to school I asked him what he was going to say if someone started to tease him about the fact he had a tie on. Now, let me preface the next part by saying that we have recently with great enjoyment been watching and imitating Monty Python and the Holy Grail. So, to my question about tie teasing, my son responds, "Well, I'll just say that I'm stylin'. [Then with silly french accent while saying this part] So get away from me you snot-nosed wiper of other people's bottoms, or I will taunt you a second time."
See? They amuse me.
